Virtual Environments: Is one life enough?

The class this week commenced with a look at the impact of technology on our environment and on society. John / Tae explored the development and use of tools using the writing of mid-twentieth century media theorist Marshall McLuhan. After the break we visited the VWEC Student Challenge building space and set up SL groups for each team. This means that only Team members have permission to build on the site, protecting it from interference from anyone else.

John / Tae asked the Teams to meet before class next Monday and have decided on the SDG they will present and made decisions about dividing the research areas. He also asked each team to build something on their site just to get started.
